Mrs. Nickell's News

Dear Pioneer Families,

March is here, and we're excited for all the learning and fun it brings! First, a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our fantastic STEM night! We are so grateful to Morgan Community College and Kids at Their Best for making this engaging event possible. Your support and participation truly made it a success.

Did you know March is National Reading Month? Research shows that children who are to read regularly have a significantly larger vocabulary than those who aren't. Even just 20 minutes a day can make a huge difference! Let's make reading a priority this month.

Please remember that Spring Break is March 11th-14th. We hope you all get some much-needed rest and enjoy quality time with your families. Also, don't forget Daylight Savings Time begins on March 10th, so set those clocks forward!

As we transition into spring-like days, please remind your children to bring light jackets as the weather can still be unpredictable. Thank you for your continued partnership. We appreciate you!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Nickell

Counselor's Corner

We have completed our month focused on honesty and in March our word of the month is cooperation defined as, "working together to reach shared goals." Students will have opportunities in the classroom to noy only define what it means to them but work with their classmates to put the term into action as well. Please look in Friday Folders for announcements regarding our monthly topics which also include prompts with ways families can support the lessons from home. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mr. Mack.
